The Missionary Project
This week we will be starting a new sermon series as part of The Missionary Project fostered by the Illinois Baptist State Association. The series will focus on the statement "I am a missionary," and will develop ideas of being a missionary on the Acts 1:8 level --
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

Be Fruitful
This week we will begin a series of sermons inspired by Galatians 5.22-23 -- "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Each week we will examine one of the manifestations of the fruit of the Spirit Paul lists there. One week we will have a break for a 'World Missions Conference' (or 'On Mission Celebration'), otherwise I hope you enjoy this series.

Finding Direction: Spring Revival 2010
The following sermons are actually a two-tier series dealing with our Spring Revival (in cooperation with Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's Spring Practicum program).
Tier 1 is a three-installment series in which I interpret this year's theme "Finding Direction". These sermons were delivered on the three Sunday mornings prior to the revival meeting.
Tier 2 is includes the sermons from the actual revival week (March 14-17, 2010). These were delivered by a student from the College at Southwestern (Ft. Worth, TX). Our evangelist was John Phillips who currently leads the Minister to Students at First Baptist Church of Meridian, Texas.
A Very Good Place to Start: Sermons About Beginnings
Thus far the sermons on this site have been a series preached from January 3, 2010 to February 7, 2010. The series was preached in the morning worship service of First Baptist Church of Mulberry Grove (Illinois) where I serve as pastor.
The next installment is a sermon on love originally presented on February 14, 2010.
From this post forward I will attempt to introduce a series before posting it. Thanks for understanding while I figure this new podcasting idea out.
Note to Listeners
I am in the midst of restructuring my sermon podcast from First Baptist Church, Mulberry Grove. The old podcast server I was using started having all sorts of glitches. Consequently, I have started this new podcast/blog via another server that comes highly recommended.
Some of the sermons you will hear here are rebroadcasts of old sermons simply because I'm trying to get used to the new format (which seems to be working well for me, thank you very much). Currently I will be uploading Sunday mornings and Special guests only. Thanks for your support.
BTW, you can simply listen here on this blogspot site, or you can join in and listen over at http://sermon.net/loomnwheel .
